What is Google Ad Grants?
A Google programme for charities. Recognised non-profits get up to 10,000 dollars per month to advertise on Google for free. The account does have to follow some rules.
Does my charity qualify for Ad Grants?
Usually yes if you have registered charity status. Government bodies, hospitals and schools are not eligible. We check it for you for free.
Why was our Ad Grants account paused?
Often because the ads get too few clicks or because there is no proper tracking. Google asks for a minimum of 5 percent clicks. You can usually reactivate a paused account.
How do we get more donors through our website?
Put a clear donate button at the top of every page. Make donating possible in a few taps with iDEAL or credit card. And use a concrete example to show what a gift does.
How do we find new volunteers online?
Make a separate page for each volunteer role. Say what it involves and how much time it takes. With Ad Grants you advertise for free on searches like "volunteering manchester".
Who looks after our site when our volunteer stops?
We do. That is what the subscription is for. You email a request and we put it online.
Do you also work for larger charities?
Yes. We start with a free baseline check of your visibility in Google and AI. Then we work on your existing site next to your own team or agency.
Is online marketing for a charity different from marketing for a business?
The goal is different: donations, volunteers and trust instead of sales. The tools are mostly the same. For charities Ad Grants is a big extra advantage.
How do we show that a gift is well spent?
Use a concrete example to show what an amount does. Like "€25 is a month of lessons for one child". Show your charity details and annual report. That gives donors trust.
