What are WhatsApp ads?

Short answer

WhatsApp ads appear in the Updates tab of WhatsApp between the status updates. You can also promote your own channel.

Meta now also brings ads to WhatsApp. They don't appear in your normal chats. Only in the Updates tab.

You manage them in the same account as your ads on Facebook and Instagram.
