What is a lookalike audience?
A lookalike audience is a group of people who resemble your existing customers. Meta finds those people for you. It is also called a similar audience.
You give Meta a list of customers or visitors. Meta then looks for people with similar habits and interests.
The better your source list, the better the group. So use real customers. Not everyone who ever visited your site.
These days Meta often searches broadly for the right people by itself. A lookalike audience is then mainly a good hint.
Real-life example
An online shop made a lookalike audience from its 500 best customers. That group bought twice as often as a group based on interests.
