What is a responsive search ad?

Short answer

A responsive search ad is the standard text ad in Google. You enter several headlines and descriptions. Google then makes the best combination itself.

You can enter up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions. Google tests which combination leads to a click most often.

Make the headlines truly different. Mention your service, your location, a benefit and a reason to click now.

Google gives your ad a score. It is called ad strength. Good or excellent is the goal.

Real-life example

A gardener had five headlines that said almost the same thing. With 12 different headlines his click-through rate went up a lot.
