What is CTR?
CTR stands for click-through rate. It is the percentage of people who click on your result after seeing it.
Do 1,000 people see your result in Google and 30 of them click? Then your CTR is 3 percent. You can find this number in Google Search Console and in Google Ads.
A low CTR often means your title or description is not inviting. Mention the location, a price or a benefit. Then more people will click.
Real-life example
A painter changes his title from "Home" to "Painter in Manchester | Interior and exterior | Free quote". His CTR goes up and he gets more visitors without ranking higher.
