What is a call to action?
A call to action is a button or sentence that asks the visitor to do something. Such as "Request a quote" or "Call us".
Many websites explain well what a business does. But they forget to say what the visitor should do next. So the visitor leaves.
A good call to action is clear and stands out. Put it at the top and repeat it after each block of text. On mobile people must be able to call with one tap.
Real-life example
A roofer changes his button from "Contact" to "Request a free inspection". After that he gets more enquiries from the same visitors.
