Short answer

Query fan-out means AI splits one question into many smaller questions and looks them up at the same time. The answer is made of pieces from different sources.

Ask AI for the best way to fix a leaking roof and it also searches for costs, materials and local tradespeople. Each piece can come from a different site.

So one page for one keyword is no longer enough. A site that covers a topic from every angle is used as a source more often.

When you make a new page think about the follow-up questions of your customer. Answer them on the same page or on a page next to it.

Real-life example

A heating engineer wrote pages about costs, subsidies and noise next to his heat pump page. AI now mentions him for many more questions about heat pumps.
